One crore saplings planned for distribution on Dr. Kalam's first death Anniversary


July 27th marks the first death anniversary of our former beloved President Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. 

A commendable initiative has been planned by Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Group Institution to pay homage and respect to Abdul Kalam. The institution has planned to distribute one crore saplings globally. 

While addressing the media, she evoked Kalam's dream 'billion trees for billion people' and that they are glad to take the first step towards his goal, she stated. 

 

The saplings will be distributed from 26th midnight till 27th midnight. One lakh saplings have been planned for distribution across Tamilnadu.   

Special arrangements have been made at Rameswaram, where 20,000 saplings will be distributed by Kalam's family at his memorial, she revealed.
