A 7-foot bronze statue of Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam was unveiled at his memorial in Rameswaram.
Central Minister Vengaiya Naidu, Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar and Central Minister Pon Radhakrishnan inaugurated the statue and paid their tribute. Kalam's family members along with public gathered in large numbers and paid respect to his statue.
