Leopard movement perturbs residents of Murugapathi Village

The leopard movement at Muruganpathi, a hilly hamlet at Navakkarai has triggered fear among residents.

The frequent dubious death of their livestock put the locals on alert. 

At the wee hours of today, a few of the residents have spotted a leopard attacking a goat. The panic-stricken villagers reported the incident to the forest officials, who rushed to the spot and recorded the pug marks. 

The forest officials have assured the residents to expedite the trapping plans and the officials have also installed CCTV camera to monitor the leopard's movement.

The residents were insisted to be cautious of the situation and act accordingly.
