A free medical camp for differently abled Children from 0-18 years was flagged off today by the District Collector.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is Government of India's flagship programme for achievement of Universalization of Elementary Education across the nation. The SSA has tied up with all State Governments to ensure elementary education to all children.
SSA along with Secondary Education Scheme has been organising various laudable camps to enhance the education standards of children.
In accordance with the orders of the Chief minister Dr.J. Jayalalitha, disparate camps and welfare schemes have been organised across the state, especially for the differently abled children. Today, a special free medical camp was organised at the Kuniamuthur Government School for the differently abled children from 0-18 years.
A Special team of doctors were deputed at the camp to provide medical assistance to the children. Nearly 250 students participated in the camp at the School. The District Collector also inaugurated a 'Special Training Centre' for these differently abled children at the School.
In his inaugural address, he insisted that parents of differently abled children should make use of these medical camps and get benefited.
