Sri Krishna College of Technology (SKCT), Coimbatore conducted fresher’s day programme.
Dr.Thamizhachi Thangapandiyan, a well-renowned writer and orator was the chief guest for the programme.
She emphasized that the teachers of the educational institutions play a major role in transforming the students in the right path. The educational system should focus on development of the students rather than running a race to secure marks and grades.
It is saddening to see the younger generation's misconceive the word 'role model'. A role model could be even their parents, teachers, relatives, friends or anyone who has achieved great heights morally. They choose cine actors as role models, which is a grave mistake, she lamented. She concluded her speech by stressing on the point that 'Hard work in smarter way is the present day strategy to win in life'.
S.Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee, Dr.A.Ramesh, Principal, Dr. K.Sundararaman, CEO, Dr.M.Jayakumar, Chief Administrator, Dr.S.Annadurai, Dr.V.Radhika, Dr.Palaniammal of Sri Krishna Institutions along with students and parents were present at the programme.
