Petitions at Collectorate

Every Monday is the designated day for registering grievances and complaints to the District Collector. This day usually sees complaints from people, NGO's, Organisation and Political Outfits on diverse pressing issues.

Petition by Church Members

The members of 'Refires All Christian People Organisation' thronged the Colllectorate to file a petition against Sakthivel for threatening and using abusive language against the Father, who owns a prayer hall at Telugupalayam Colony.

The petitioners stated that on 3rd August, Sakthivel, a stranger assaulted the father while he was on his way to the Panchayat Office to pay his taxes. He also threatened the father by using abusive words against him and his community.

On the same day, the father had filed a case at the police station who advised him to compromise mutually and withdraw the case. He alleges that the police forced him to do so, if not threatened that they would provoke Sakthivel to file a case against the father with baseless allegations. The injudicious attitude of the police officials distressed the church members.

Hence the members along with the father approached the district collector to initiate stringent action against the issue to ensure safety and dignity of their community people.
