Varnakalika III - A unique painting exhibition by Cultural Cradle


Cultural Cradle's 'Varnakalika - III' a unique painting exhibition was inaugurated today at Arthouz by K.Raveendran, Secretary of RAAC (Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore).



V.Chandrasekar, a well known artist, caricaturist, tattooist and stage decorator is the founder of Cultural Cradle. Since 1999, the organisation has been tirelessly involved in imparting their artistic knowledge to Children of all age groups. The students trained through the academy have featured their creations in various National and International exhibits and Competitions.



Today, nine students from Cultural Cradle have displayed their brilliant paintings at Arthouz, Jenney's. The budding artists Akash.N, V.Niharika, S.Keerthivasan, K.Abilash, Bhavika Duggar, M.K.Sudarshan, P.Sarvesh, P.Vijaysankar and M.K.Harambagowri have showcased paintings of diverse genres leaving the visitors spellbound. 



This exhibition cum sale is well-received by the visitors, who have showed immense interest in buying the paintings.



Bhargavi, the organizer of the event shared with us that the kids are selected based on their specialised talents and this exhibition is intended to motivate the budding artists. 

Mr.Raveendran, the Chief Guest for the event appreciated the kids for their outstanding paintings and also bought one painting from the event.



'The talents of these kids should be highlighted at the city level first rather than at the national level', he said.

He proposed that the students can create paintings based on their perception of future Coimbatore. He assured that this will strengthen the bond and will provoke them to learn more about the place they live in and thus transforming them into responsible citizens.



The painting exhibition cum sale will be open till 15th August.
