SDFI protests against the new education policy

Today, activists of Student Federation of India (SDFI) staged a protest against the proposed education policy at the Coimbatore railway station.

The protesters raised slogans against the new education policy proposed by the Central Ministry. The protested outraged that the amendements proposed by the Central govt is against the secularism of the nation.

They opposed the act of the Central govt of adding Sanskrit Language mandatorily to the existing curriculum. The agitators cautioned that they would intensify their protest, if the education proposal is not revoked with immediate effect.

The protest halted the traffic for a brief time around the railway station area. The police took custody of the protestors and restored the traffic back.
