Na. Muthukumar award-winning tamil lyricist dies of Jaundice


Na. Muthukumar, a well-renowned National Award-winning Tamil Poet, Columnist and Lyricist passed away at Chennai due to Jaundice.

His meaningful and soulful lyrics secured him the title 'Kavi Ilavarasan'. Besides writing lyrics, he has also penned dialoques for the movie 'Kireedam' and also a novel called 'Silk city'.

Muthukumar had won the national award for his lyrics for the songs "Aanandha Yazhai Meetugiraai" in in the film "Thanga Meenkal" and "Azhage Azhage Ethuvum Azhage" in "Saivam."
