AIADMK Cadres complain 'unfair ticket allotment'

As soon the candidatures for the up-coming were declared, AIADMK cadres in the city have raised their voices against the party's decision in allotment of tickets.

Unfair distribution of tickets is the major concern of the members who today staged a hunger-strike at Rathinapuri in front of the AIADMK party office, demanding fair allotment of tickets and especially insisting on a hierarchy to be followed while considering candidatures.  Long time loyal, hard working and ardent members have been neglected opportunity instead newly joined members with least experience and popularity in the particular wards have been allotted tickets, said the dispirited AIADMK members.

In particular, the cadres pin-pointed Ward:No: 70, 71, 73, 68 and 75 where the allotment is totally unacceptable, they said.  Misappropriate candidatures could affect the winning positions of the party, they grieved.  They also pronounced a few names behind the issue Ravanan (relative of Sasikala) and Minister SP Velumani, whose dominance has caused this resentment.

Though anti-party, the protest was staged to show our concern over the party's victory, hence the Party should reevaluate the allotment, said the party members.
