Based on the petition submitted by the transgenders in July seeking ration card, today the District Collector TN Hariharan distributed them with ration cards at the people grievance meet held today at the Collectorate.
Upon receiving the ration cards, the transgenders thanked the district administration for acting swiftly on their petitions and for the timely disbursements of cards. Close to 21 transgenders were distributed ration cards, today.
