Hindu makkal party petitions seeking action on Naxalite movement in city suburbs

Today, Hindu Makkal Party leader Arjun Sampath along with the tribal residents of Perur, Poluvampatty and Thondamuthur petitioned the District Collector seeking protection for the residents from Naxals.

In the petition, it is been stated that in the past, there have been complaining of Naxalites visiting these areas, as they are surrounded by the forests and aloof from the main city. In this regard, protection should be provided for the tribal residents from the Naxalites and also vigil action against the movements of the Naxalites.

When speaking to the press leader of this party Arjun S said “In the tribal regions some people who are in no way related to them are cheating the villagers by preaching to them about Naxalism. This is dangerous. They should be arrested immediately. Police should treat this as a priority and offer the residents of these areas due protection.”

He also apprised the press that “The police has registered cases on me for performing Ayudha pooja in my home with weapons.  People who envy me indulge in such acts. I will face the case according to the law.”
