Exclusive: 350 special buses to operate from Coimbatore to handle Diwali rush


The TNSTC has made an official announcement stating that it will operate 21,289 special buses for the upcoming Diwali festival. 

Speaking exclusively to SimpliCity, Govind Rajan, General Manager of TNSTC Coimbatore Zone said “Special buses will be operated in Tamil Nadu to handle the Diwali rush of passengers. In Coimbatore zone alone, 350 special buses will be operated. These special buses will be operated from 26th October to 2nd November. The buses will be operated from Singanallur and Gandhipuram bus stations to all places in Tamil Nadu. Government buses will not charge passengers exorbitant fares.”  Govindarajan said.

He also stated “If we receive complaints of excess fare collection, strict action will be taken against people involved in the same. During these festive days, if the demand for buses increases, the needful will be done.” Govindarajan said.
