Owing to the Cauvery dispute, member of the VCK Party announced a protest to condemn the central Government. This protest was scheduled to take place at the Coimbatore North Junction. Following this security was strengthened at this venue.
However, a few party cadres attempted to enter the Coimbatore North Junction not as per the scheduled time. They were stopped by the Coimbatore Police and 10 members of the VCK party were arrested in this regard.
