T.N. Hariharan, District Collector supervised the arrangement that have been made for the written examination to fill vacancies of assistant professor position in engineering colleges. About 16 venues have been declared as examination centres in our city. The District Collector visited one of the centres Corporation Higher Secondary School, Sidhapudur, this morning. He was accompanied by N Arul Murugan, Chief Educational Officer (CEO).
A source revealed that 693 staff will be on duty for this examination. They include 80 chief officers, 375 invigilators, 80 centre officers, 32 Rapid Action Force (RAF) officers and 126 assistant officers. About 6,622 applications have been received and 4,173 people are expected to appear for this written examination.
