Government ready to fund student's innovative projects, says Mr.Satheesh Kumar, Director, MSME

Shri S.Satheesh Kumar Deputy Director from Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises was here in the city to inaugurate the 'Technology Business Incubation Cell' at Nehru group of Institution.

In the Guest address Satheesh Kumar explained the services rendered by MSME for the benefit of educated & unemployed youth to start new small scale Industry. The central government is ready to finance for taking up innovative projects by engineering colleges, he said  



He emphasized that "entrepreneurship" is the need of the hour and the Government is ready to assist engineering colleges to set up Technology Business Incubation cells through which they can fund students for starting up new innovative projects. A maximum sanction of Rs.6.25 lakhs will be provided to students for developing their ideas to a prototype model, he said.

He further apprised that the government is planning to focus equal attention will be given on aspects like Intellectual Property Rights, Design Clinic, Quality Management system, Quality Technology Tools, Lean manufacturing, and ISO/IEC and ZED certification and also provide fund to implement the same to Indian MSMEs. In turn, the MSME can also aid engineering colleges to set up an Industry Institute partnership cell to fill the gap between Industrialists, Academicians and Students.
