City-based kind Samaritans sponsors sweet boxes for sanitary workers


For the over one-hundred sanitary workers, affiliated to ward 95, 96, 97, 98 and 100 their routine day begins with them carrying out their respective duties in the streets and wards that have been assigned to them. However, the hundred odd sanitary workers who are affiliated to these wards began their day with a surprise this morning. City-based R. Raveendran, Secretary, Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore (RAAC) sponsored the 150 sweet boxes for the 150 sanitary workers of these wards. Ahead of the festival of lights, a smile lit up the face of the sanitary workers.





Swachh Bharat ambassador and social activist Timple Luloo along with sanitary inspectors of the respective wards Andiappan, Selvaraj and Kaliappan coordinated the entire distribution. The packets of sweets were distributed by Chitra Raveendran.
