TNEB staff electrocuted to death at Thudiyalur, two others severely injured


The death of a staff due to electrocution while on duty has sent shock waves to the TNEB department. 

Three TNEB staffs were deployed at the Vadamadurai, Thudiyalur 230 KV power station for carrying out routine maintenance work. Unexpectedly, Ramu, who was working on the transformer got in contact with a high-voltage electric line passing above his head. Ramu was electrocuted and was thrown to the ground. The two others, Meganadham and Santoshkumar who were holding the ladder were also electrocuted in the incident.



However, upon examination Ramu was declared dead on the spot. The two others sustained severe injuries and were rushed to government hospital. Ramu's body has been taken to government hospital for post-mortem examination. The Thudiyalur police have filed a case against the incident and the investigation is on.
