Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has divided our city into five zones namely central, north, south, east and west and one-hundred wards. Each of these zones have reserve sites that is under the supervision of the city corporation. However, these reserve sites continue to be encroached upon by the residents, commercial establishments and traders.
In a bid to check encroachments in each of the zones, Dr. K Vijay Karthikeyan, Special Officer, CCMC in a official press release stated that post diwali the CCMC will organise an intense special drive to identify encroachments done at reserve sites and stringent action would be initiated aginst the offenders.

Meanwhile, the public can log on to CCMC's official website www.ccmc.gov.in and check details of the allotted reserve sites at their zone/ward. If in case the public note any encroachments at reserve sites in their area, they are asked to WhatsApp the issue to the dedicated people grievance helpline number 8190000200.
