Hindu Makkal Katchi celebrate diwali with tribal’s from Western Ghats


Members of the Hindu Makkal Katchi (Hindu People's Party) this morning celebrated Diwali with several tribal families who are originally from the Western Ghats region. Members of the adivasi community too participated in the celebrations. The celebrations took place at the koniamman temple in our city.



Head of the Hindu Makkal Katchi stated “The main aim is to throw away all the barriers of caste. The celebrations are also a display of unity in diversity.” Arjun Sampath, President, Hindu Makkal Katchi said. Following the celebrations, the participants feasted together.



Heads of other parties and organizations including Rajkumar, head of the Telugu Makkal Katchi, Krishna Swami, head, Kumbara Sangam and Illongavan, head of Arundathi Madiga Kula Sangam also participated in this programme.
