As rains lash down, Mettupalayam - Ooty road suffocates with traffic.

With rains lashing down in the City, most of the roads leading to prime areas are currently experiencing severe traffic congestions. Especially the Mettupalayam road is jammed with vehicles as large number of people from different parts of the district have thronged Ooty for celebrating Diwali holidays.

With heightened exiting traffic from the hills, the rains have further aggravated the traffic blockage at the Mettupalayam - Ooty road. Vehicles are presently experiencing a standstill for more than half hour at the MTP - Ooty road.
