Ganja peddlers from Kerala arrested with 2.4-kgs of ganja in Karamadai forest range

Ramesh Kumar and Satish Kumar who hail from Kerala were noticed moving around suspiciously in the Karamadai forest range. An alert forest official who observed this, searched the Bolero car they were travelling in. The search revealed that the duo were transporting 2.4-kgs of ganja to neighbouring Kerala state from erode in a plastic bag.



The forest official informed the incident to the Narcotics Control Bureau. The Inspector of Narcotics Control Bureau Jayakumar, interrogated the duo and ascertained that the banned substance was being transported from Erode to neighbouring state Kerala. The two were produced before a judicial magistrate today and were remanded under judicial custody.

Their belongings car, mobile phones have also been confiscated.
