The level of water in the Mettur Dam has receded. Normally about 6,237-cubic meters of water are stored in this dam. However, it was learnt that currently, this dam has received only 4,253 cubic meters of water. Mettur Dam has a storage capacity of 67.38 feet. About 30.49 TMC of water is currently available at this dam. Of this, 18,000 cusecs of water is released for irrigation.
