Akilan, District President of Adhitamilar Katchi submitted a petition to the District Collector today. In the petition, he has stated that more than 1,000 arunthathiar families are residing at Indira nagar, P.N. Pudur near Telugupalayam. People living in this area cannot afford to own a home and have been residing in the same locale for more than 25 years. Even after repeated petitions, they are yet to be granted with free land pattas. Hence, Akilan requested the District Collector to provide all the arunthathiar families of the locale with housing pattas, on priority.
