Coimbatore: In a move aimed at enhancing local infrastructure, the Dharapuram Municipality in Tirupur District held a Bhumi Puja ceremony to mark the commencement of a new project. Municipal Chairman K. Pappu Kannan initiated the construction of a cement road worth Rs. 12 lakh under the Urban Road Development Project in the 4th Ward area.
Addressing the attendees, Chairman Kannan highlighted the longstanding issue faced by residents in the 4th Ward area, who had lacked proper road facilities for many years. The municipal administration stepped in to address this concern, allocating a budget of Rs. 12 lakhs from public funds to construct the much-needed cement road.
The new road construction is anticipated to significantly improve local mobility, allowing residents to travel in the area without difficulty.
