Jaganathan was arrested and sent to jail in connection with the theft of a four-and-a-half-pound gold chain from a woman at Thudiyalur in Coimbatore. Now his associate Saravanan has also been arrested by the Special Cell police.
Coimbatore: Khushboo lives in the Thudiyalur police station area of the Coimbatore district. On June 21, two unidentified persons stole a four-and-a-half-pound gold chain from her neck as she opened the gate to her house.
The victim filed a complaint at the Thudiyalur police station. A case was filed, and the police arrested a person named Jeganathan who was involved in the event, seized the stolen gold jewellery, took him to court, and lodged him in the Coimbatore Central Jail.
On the directives of Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan, a special team was formed to track Saravanan, another accused involved in the case. During an intensive search operation, Saravanan, who was absconding, was arrested by the Special Cell and produced before the court and sent to jail.
