Helicopter Fire Drill in Sulur: Controlling the Flames with Realistic Water from a Big Pond

The Indian Army has an Air Force base in Sulur. A security drill was held here to control the fire by helicopter. In this, water was taken from a big pond and it was done realistically as if to put out the fire.


Coimbatore: A fire drill was conducted in Sulur by taking water from a pond by helicopter.

The Indian Army has an Air Force base at Sulur in Coimbatore district.It has aircraft development, aircraft training, and air force units. In this situation, it is customary to conduct disaster drills every month by Air Force aircraft.

Accordingly, the disaster rehearsal for this month was held at a big pond in Sulur. Accordingly, it was explained how to douse the fire by helicopter in case of a fire.

A security drill on controlling the fire was conducted by a helicopter belonging to the Sulur Air Force. Accordingly, a Sulur Air Force helicopter flew to Sulur Big tank.

A giant container with a capacity of 2,000 litres was connected to the rope and brought down from the helicopter. When it came down and filled the container with water, it was taken up. It was realistically performed at the accident site by spraying water and extinguishing the fire. The rehearsal scenario stunned the surrounding community.
