Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Government Music College in Coimbatore is inviting applications for Assistant Professor and Lecturer positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Staff will be selected on a purely temporary basis with consolidated pay to conduct classes in various departments for students pursuing Diploma and Bachelor's degree in music.
Opportunities are available for lecturers to teach Diploma music students in vocal music, veena, thavil nadaswaram, and music theory departments. Similarly, candidates will be selected as Assistant Professors and teachers for Bachelor's degree music students in vocal music, violin, veena, Bharatam, Tamil, English, Computer, and Yoga departments.
Applicants must have passed Diploma, Bachelor's degree, Music Teacher Training, and Master's degree qualifications. Additionally, a PhD in music or NET/SLET qualification is mandatory. It is specified that applicants' age should be above 30 years and prior work experience is required.
A monthly consolidated salary of only Rs. 20,000 will be provided for these positions. Applications must reach the college by July 10, 2026. Selected applicants will be interviewed by the department-approved panel on July 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
