Stop the exploitation of minerals..! Marumalarchi Makkal Mandram petitioned with jalli and sand

In Coimbatore, marumalarchi makkal mandram activists along with jalli and sand went to the collectorate and submitted a memorandum urging them to stop the looting of mineral resources.

Coimbatore:Various parties and farmers' unions have led protests alleging that excess mineral resources are being looted from Coimbatore and Tirupur districts and that various stone quarries in Coimbatore district are operating without permission.

Following that, a protest was planned on behalf of the Marumalarchi Makkal mandram. However, the police declined permission.

In light of this, the office bearers of the Marumalarchi Makkal Mandram, led by leader V. Easwaran, submitted a memorandum to the Coimbatore district collector today, demanding them to put a stop to the looting of mineral resources. At that time, they also brought minerals, including gravel sand, and reiterated their demand.

They claimed that if mineral resource mining continues, the people of Coimbatore will suffer in the future, and the money that goes to a particular person is due to the looting of mineral resources. If the government takes over, it can bring a complete ban on alcohol in Tamil Nadu, which is more than the income from alcohol. They also said that quantitative income was generated from mineral resources.
