Coimbatore: School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has urged parents not to compare students with other students.

The centenary celebrations of PSG Sarvajana Higher Secondary School on Coimbatore-Avinashi Road were held. Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi was the chief guest on the occasion and interacted with the students.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Anbil Mahesh said,

It is the responsibility MKS gave to this AMP, that today I have had the opportunity to attend this event as minister of school education, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, the minister of school education.

I would like to express my gratitude to the PSG Group for making Bharathiyar's life motto a reality. Chief Minister M K Stalin is running the Dravidian model of governance on the lines of the Justice Party. This is a school where Thanthai Periyar came and went. This is the school where Rabindranath Tagore sang the national anthem.

It is a school which has been praised by Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi. The school was established in 1921 on the basis of the demand of the people of peelamedu on Deepavali day. All the students studying in such a prestigious school should feel proud.

It was the educational institutions that made Peelamedu an important area. The lessons should be conducted for the students according to the respective periods. It is our school education department that says what gives a good human being to industries.

I make an appeal that not only academic-oriented subjects should be offered but also subjects that can take students to the next level. I request parents not to compare students with other students.

I see it as the duty of parents and teachers to identify and encourage their children's talents.

You students, whatever advice your parent teacher gives you. With that in mind, focus on your studies as this age is the age of studying. Our teacher should bring glory to the parents. This is what he said.

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar, Corporation Commissioner Prathap, officials of PSG Education Board and others were present on the occasion.”
