ISRO's "Space on Wheels" Mobile Exhibition Inspires 1500+ Students at Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology

Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology in Coimbatore hosted ISRO's "Space on Wheels" mobile exhibition, showcasing India's space achievements. The event, organized by the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, attracted over 1500 students who explored interactive displays of satellites, launch vehicles, and space missions, fostering scientific curiosity.


Coimbatore: Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology successfully hosted ISRO's prestigious "Space on Wheels" mobile exhibition, creating awareness about India's remarkable achievements in space science and technology among students and the public.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the Energy Club and Science Club, organized this significant educational initiative that attracted over 1500 participants from various schools, polytechnic colleges, and engineering institutions across Coimbatore and surrounding areas.



C.V. Ramkumar, CEO of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, inaugurated the exhibition as Chief Guest. N. Kumar, Library Officer-D from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR), ISRO, Sriharikota, served as Resource Person, sharing valuable insights into India's space missions and ISRO's contributions to national development.

Dr. J. David Rathnaraj, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, presided over the function alongside Heads of Departments, faculty members, students, and invited guests. Dr. C. Anandhakumar, AP (Sr. Gr)/EEE, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of space technology in nation-building and the role of educational institutions in fostering scientific curiosity among young minds.



The "Space on Wheels" exhibition is a mobile space museum developed by IN-SPACE (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre) in collaboration with ISRO. This fully equipped mobile gallery enabled visitors to experience space science through immersive learning, featuring interactive exhibits and informative displays.

The exhibition showcased India's journey in space exploration through scale models of ISRO's launch vehicles including PSLV and GSLV, and satellite models such as Rohini, Bhaskara, Aryabhata, Mangalyaan, and Cartosat. Students enthusiastically explored these interactive exhibits, digital presentations, and launch vehicle displays, gaining first-hand knowledge about India's space missions and technological advancements.

The event provided an excellent platform for participants to witness ISRO's technological achievements and understand the significance of space research in contemporary society. Through this initiative, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology successfully inspired young minds to explore careers in space science and technology, contributing to India's future in space exploration.
