Postal Voting Begins for Police Personnel Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections in Coimbatore

Postal voting for police personnel involved in election duties started today and will continue tomorrow in Coimbatore, coinciding with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on April 19.

Coimbatore:

In light of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April 19, postal voting for police personnel engaged in election duties commenced today in Coimbatore. This two-day event allows officers assigned to election tasks to cast their votes ahead of the general public to ensure their duties on election day are unhampered.

The postal voting is specifically organized at the Uppilipalayam Police Community Hall for those stationed in the Coimbatore and Pollachi constituencies, while those assigned to other constituencies are facilitated at the CSI School opposite the hall. Today (April 14), numerous officers are expected to visit these centers to exercise their voting rights.

Notably, Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan cast his vote today at the Uppilipalayam Community Hall, marking a significant participation from the local law enforcement in the electoral process.
