Bomb Threat at Coimbatore Airport Investigated by Peelamedu Police

A bomb threat email was sent to Coimbatore International Airport on April 29, leading to an intensive search by security. The threat was later declared a hoax.


Coimbatore: On April 29 at 6:50 PM, Coimbatore International Airport received a bomb threat via email. This prompted airport authorities to conduct a thorough inspection of the premises, enhancing security measures throughout the airport.

Following the investigation, which concluded the threat to be a hoax, the Chief Security Officer, Mathew, reported the incident to the Peelamedu Police Station.



The Peelamedu Police are currently investigating the case, which involves an unidentified individual who issued the bomb threat through email.
