Dancer Arrested for Possessing Ganja in Ukkadam, Coimbatore

On May 6, a dancer named Edison was arrested near the water tank in South Ukkadam's Pullukadu, Coimbatore for possessing 100 grams of Ganja.


Coimbatore: In a routine patrolling incident, Inspector Sasikala of the Coimbatore City Street Police Station arrested a young dancer for possessing cannabis. During the patrol on the evening of May 6, Inspector Sasikala noticed a suspicious individual standing near the water tank in the Pullukadu area of South Ukkadam. Upon inspection, she discovered 100 grams of Ganja on him and took him into custody.


Further investigation revealed that the individual, identified as Edison, a 20-year-old resident of South Ukkadam Housing Unit, Pullukadu, was actively participating in dance events. It is notable that Edison has several prior cases registered against him. The police are conducting deeper investigations to uncover any further illicit activities.
