Bicycle - the chosen campaign vehicle for Captain and his allies

In an effort to cut costs, the Vijayakanth-led DMDK and his ally, the People's Welfare Front (PWF), have chosen to campaign on bicycles all over the state.

In addition to obvious cost factors, bicycles, according to the Election Commission, do not violate the code of conduct. They are much effective in navigating through narrow streets.

The bicycles will display placards containing the electoral promises of the allies, and pamphlets to be distributed during the campaigns. A loudspeaker will be mounted on the cycle, which will play the campaign song. Work is currently on to get the custom- designed bicycles ready.

The DMDK-PWF coalition has already got more than 20 songs ready to be played at the campaign rallies.
