Anti-Tobacco Awareness Program Held at Udumalpet Government School

An anti-tobacco awareness program was conducted for students at the Government High School in Sivasakthi Colony, Udumalpet, Tirupur district, emphasizing the harmful effects of tobacco use.


Tirupur: An anti-tobacco awareness program was held for students at the Government High School in Sivasakthi Colony, Udumalpet, Tirupur district. The event was presided over by Justin, the school's acting headmaster.



The program aimed to educate students about the detrimental effects of tobacco use. Following the awareness session, students took a pledge to abstain from tobacco products.



S.A.I. Nelson, founder of the Ennam Pol Vaazhkai Foundation, and Praveen Kumar from the Tiruppur District Tobacco Prevention Unit participated in the event. Health inspectors from the Udumalpet Union also attended the program.

The school teachers made arrangements for the awareness program, which focused on instilling a sense of responsibility among students regarding the dangers of tobacco consumption.
