Corporation Commissioner and MLA Inspect Development Projects in East and Central Zones

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Theja and Singanallur MLA K.S. Sri Giri Prasad inspected ongoing development projects including road works, street lighting, park development, and road widening in the East and Central zones of the city on January 28, 2025.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Theja and Singanallur MLA K.S. Sri Giri Prasad conducted a comprehensive inspection of development projects planned for the East and Central zone areas of the city on Tuesday (January 28, 2025).

The officials visited multiple locations to review the progress and planning of various civic infrastructure projects aimed at improving urban amenities for residents in these zones.



In the East zone, the Commissioner and MLA inspected Ward No. 24, specifically the Thanneer Pandhal Road area, where connecting road construction and street lighting installation works are underway from Lakshmi Nagar to Kodisiya Road. They also visited Ward No. 59 in Singanallur, where development works for the Corporation park in the Krishna Garden area are being carried out. The officials examined the scope of work and discussed implementation timelines with the engineering staff present.



Subsequently, the Corporation Commissioner and Singanallur MLA proceeded to the Central zone to inspect Ward No. 62, where they reviewed the road widening project on Saramedu Nanjundapuram Road. The officials assessed the alignment and scope of the widening work to ensure minimal disruption to residents and businesses.

During the inspections, several officials accompanied the Commissioner and MLA, including Accounts Committee Chairman Deepa Thalapathi Elango, Town Planning Officer Thamodharan, Assistant Commissioner Dakshinamurthy, Assistant Executive Engineers Elangovan (Public Works) and Saravanakumar (Public Works), Council Member Ahmed Kabir, Assistant Town Planner Srinivasan, Zonal Health Officers Chandran and Gunasekaran, Assistant Engineers Farman Ali, Kamalakkannan and Sundararajan, Health Inspector Loganathan, and several other Corporation officials.

The inspection tour underscores the Corporation's commitment to accelerating development works and ensuring quality implementation of civic infrastructure projects across different zones of the city.
