Coimbatore: In a significant development for the residents of Ward 25 in Pollachi Municipality, a long-standing water issue has finally been resolved. On July 31, Municipality Chairman Syamala Navaneethakrishnan inaugurated a new water pipeline in the Vinayagar Kovil Street area, addressing a problem that had persisted for 45 years.

The installation of the water pipeline came in response to a request from Ward Councilor Balakrishnaveni Ashokkumar. This initiative aims to provide a reliable water supply to the residents who have been grappling with water scarcity for decades.

Following the inauguration, Chairman Syamala Navaneethakrishnan, accompanied by Ward Councilor Balakrishnaveni Ashokkumar and municipal officials, conducted an inspection of areas affected by continuous heavy rainfall in Pollachi. The team visited Thanthai Periyar Street and Rajaji Street in Ward 25 to assess any potential damage caused by the ongoing downpour.
