Retired Deputy Registrar from Udumalpet Donates Rs. 50,000 for Kerala Flood Relief

A retired cooperative deputy registrar from Udumalpet, Tiruppur district, has donated Rs. 50,000 to the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund for flood victims in Wayanad. The generous act highlights the spirit of solidarity during times of crisis.

Coimbatore: In a commendable act of kindness, a retired cooperative deputy registrar from Udumalpet, Tiruppur district, has stepped forward to help the flood-affected people of Kerala. Krishnan, the retired official, has donated Rs. 50,000 from his savings account to the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund, becoming the first person from Udumalpet to respond to the Kerala government's appeal for assistance.

The donation comes in the wake of the recent devastating floods in Wayanad, Kerala, which claimed numerous lives. As the Kerala Chief Minister called for financial support, Krishnan promptly transferred the amount to aid the relief efforts.

This is not the first time Krishnan has shown his philanthropic side. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he had contributed Rs. 15 lakhs to the Tamil Nadu government to support relief measures. Additionally, for over a decade, he has been organizing welfare activities in memory of his late wife. Every year on her death anniversary, Krishnan provides assistance to more than a hundred underprivileged individuals and differently-abled people.

Krishnan's generous actions serve as an inspiration to others, demonstrating how individuals can make a significant impact during times of crisis. His consistent commitment to social causes highlights the importance of community support and solidarity in face of natural disasters and other challenges.
