District Administration Fences 10 Cents of Government Land in Sulur, Coimbatore

Coimbatore district administration fenced 400 square meters of government poramboke land near Sulur Sunnat Jamaat Mosque. The Hindustan Makkal Sevai Iyakkam thanked officials and requested measures to prevent future encroachments.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district administration has taken steps to protect government land in Sulur by erecting a fence around a 10-cent plot. The fencing was carried out today on 400 square meters (10 cents) of government poramboke natham land, located near the Sulur Sunnat Jamaat Mosque opposite the Taluk Office on Market Road in Sulur village.



The land in question is identified as Survey No. 704/5 (old Survey No. 422/15) in Sulur village. The Hindustan Makkal Sevai Iyakkam has expressed gratitude to the district administration for this proactive measure to safeguard public property.



On behalf of the Hindustan Makkal Sevai Iyakkam, Lotus Manikandan, the organization's chairman, has put forth additional requests to the district administration. They have urged officials to take immediate action to prevent any future encroachments on this land. The organization has also requested that a board be installed promptly, clearly stating that the land belongs to the government.

This move by the district administration is seen as a positive step towards protecting government assets and maintaining public spaces for community use. The quick action and responsiveness of the officials have been appreciated by local residents and civil society organizations.
