Facing Civic Issues? Coimbatore Corporation Invites Residents to Grievance Day

The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has invited residents to participate in the weekly Grievance Day meeting on July 28, at the CCMC office in Townhall, where they can directly submit petitions to the Mayor on civic issues.

Coimbatore: Residents of Coimbatore will have an opportunity to directly place their civic grievances before the city’s top civic officials on Tuesday (July 28) as the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) holds its weekly Public Grievance Day meeting at the Corporation’s main office.

The grievance redressal session, to be chaired by Mayor K. Ranganayaki Ramachandran, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering residents a platform to seek solutions to civic issues affecting their localities.

Citizens residing within the Corporation limits can submit petitions on a wide range of issues, including drinking water supply, road maintenance, streetlights, underground drainage, sanitation, public health, education, birth and death certificates, property tax, vacant land tax, new water connections and name corrections.

According to the Corporation, officials from the concerned departments will be present to receive the petitions and initiate follow-up action. The civic body has urged residents to make use of the weekly grievance meeting to bring long-pending issues to the attention of the authorities and facilitate their resolution.
