CSW Foundation and District Tobacco Control Cell Launch Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 at Bishop Ambrose College

The CSW Foundation and District Tobacco Control Cell organized Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 at Bishop Ambrose College, Coimbatore, on October 7, 2024. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about tobacco's dangers among youth and promote healthier lifestyles.


Coimbatore: The CSW Foundation, in collaboration with the District Tobacco Control Cell, successfully organized the Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 at Bishop Ambrose College on October 7, 2024.



This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco use among youth and promote a healthier lifestyle.



The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who engaged in various activities designed to empower young individuals to make informed choices regarding their health. These activities included awareness sessions, pamphlet distribution, and a collective pledge to remain tobacco-free.



Several esteemed guests graced the event with their presence. Dr. A. Peter Raja, Principal of Bishop Ambrose College, and Joel Antony, Head of the Department of Social Work, represented the host institution. Social Worker Murali Krishnan from the District Tobacco Control Cell and Fazil Rahman, Joint Secretary of CSW Foundation, were also present, lending their support to the cause. Faculty members and students actively contributed to the event's success, showcasing a united front against tobacco use.



The Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 went beyond merely educating students about the harmful effects of tobacco. It encouraged them to take a proactive stand against its use in their communities, fostering a sense of responsibility towards creating a healthier environment.
