Coimbatore Airport Adds 4 More Daily Flights in Summer Schedule

Coimbatore International Airport implements summer schedule from March 29, Sunday, increasing daily flight operations from 28 to 32. New schedule includes enhanced services to Chennai and other major cities to accommodate summer vacation travelers.


Coimbatore: The summer schedule at Coimbatore International Airport comes into effect from Sunday, March 29, increasing the number of daily flight operations from 28 to 32.



The winter schedule at Coimbatore International Airport remains in effect until Saturday, March 28, during which a maximum of 28 flights operate daily. With the onset of summer season, the airport will implement the summer schedule from Sunday, March 29. According to the new schedule, flight services to Chennai and other cities have been increased.



Airport sources stated that the summer schedule at Coimbatore Airport will be implemented from Sunday. According to the new schedule, in the international sector, Air Arabia will operate flights between Coimbatore and Sharjah for 5 days a week, IndiGo will operate between Coimbatore and Abu Dhabi for 4 days a week, and Scoot Airlines will operate daily flights between Coimbatore and Singapore. Due to the Iran-Israel conflict, the Coimbatore-Abu Dhabi flight service, which was temporarily cancelled, will remain suspended for another month. The service will resume once the situation stabilizes. All other flight services will continue without disruption.



In the domestic sector, while currently 6 flights operate daily from Coimbatore to Chennai, from Sunday onwards 8 flights will operate daily. Seven flights will operate from Coimbatore to Bengaluru. The daily flight service between Coimbatore and Goa, which currently operates, will continue in the summer schedule as well.



While Air India was providing 4 services, according to the summer schedule, a total of 3 flights will operate from Coimbatore to Delhi, comprising 2 flights and 1 flight. At Coimbatore Airport, IndiGo currently operates 25 flights daily to cities including Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Goa. After the summer schedule is implemented, the number of daily flights operated by IndiGo from Coimbatore to various cities will increase to 28.

With schools and colleges set to begin summer vacations soon, the flight services to various cities provided according to the new schedule implemented at Coimbatore Airport will be highly beneficial for summer vacation travelers, airport sources said.
