Amid ongoing internal conflicts within the AIADMK, Coimbatore district AIADMK Functionary Advocate Vineeth resigned from the party and officially joined TVK in the presence of Minister Sengottaiyan.
Coimbatore: In the wake of continuing internal disputes and leadership tensions within the AIADMK, Advocate Vineeth, who served as the Deputy Secretary of the party’s Youth Wing in Coimbatore district, has resigned from the party and joined Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
The development comes amid escalating factional differences between supporters of Edappadi K. Palaniswami and senior leader S.P. Velumani, following which disciplinary action was initiated against several key AIADMK functionaries, including Velumani and C.V. Shanmugam.
In his resignation statement, Vineeth said that while differences of opinion are natural in any political movement, the recent internal issues, recurring misunderstandings, and certain developments within the party had caused him significant disappointment and mental distress.
He further stated that despite attempting to continue his work patiently and prioritising the party’s interests, the prevailing political environment had made it difficult for him to function with complete peace of mind and commitment.
After considerable reflection and consultation, Vineeth announced his resignation from both his organisational post and primary membership in the AIADMK.
Subsequently, he met Minister Sengottaiyan, who is part of the Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government, and officially joined the party
