Pudukkottai, Sivagangai and Thanjavur emerged as the top three districts in Tamil Nadu in the SSLC Public Examination 2026 results. Among the Kongu region districts, Coimbatore recorded the highest pass percentage at 97.09 Percent, followed closely by Erode and Tiruppur.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu SSLC Examination results for March/April 2026 were released today, with Pudukkottai district securing the top position in the state by recording a pass percentage of 97.57 Percent. Sivagangai secured second place with 97.54 Percent, while Thanjavur stood third with 97.41 Percent.
Among the Kongu region districts, Coimbatore emerged as the top-performing district with an overall pass percentage of 97.09 Percent, placing 7th at the state level. Out of 37,844 students who appeared for the examination in the district, 36,742 students cleared the exams successfully.
Erode district registered a pass percentage of 97.03 Percent, while Tiruppur recorded 96.28 Percent. The Nilgiris secured 96.32 Percent, and Namakkal achieved 96.01 Percent.
Salem district recorded a pass percentage of 94.21 Percent, while Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri registered 93.94 Percent and 89.43 Percent respectively.
The results once again highlighted the consistent performance of girl students, who outperformed boys across the Kongu region as well as throughout Tamil Nadu.
Across the state, Tamil Nadu recorded an overall SSLC pass percentage of 94.31 Percent. Girls achieved a pass percentage of 96.47 Percent, while boys registered 92.15 Percent.
