ITI Admission for Tribal Students at Anaikkatti: Apply Till June 3

Applications are invited for the 2026-27 academic year at the Government Industrial Training Institute for tribal students at Anaikkatti, Coimbatore. Online applications accepted till June 3. Free training in Electrician, Fitter, MMV, Wireman, Welder trades with Rs.1000 monthly stipend offered.


Coimbatore: Applications are being invited for admission to the Government Industrial Training Institute for tribal students located at Anaikkatti, Coimbatore for the 2026-27 academic year. The last date for submitting online applications has been announced as June 3, 2026.




The institute offers training in various trades including Electrician, Fitter, MMV, Wireman (two-year training duration) and Welder (one-year training duration) for both male and female candidates. Students interested in joining the training program can apply through the website www.skilltraining.tn.gov.in.




Those unable to apply online can visit the Government Industrial Training Institute at Anaikkatti in person with necessary documents including Aadhaar card, passport-size photographs, and original certificates to apply at the admission assistance center.




Candidates must have passed 8th standard for Wireman and Welder trades, while 10th standard pass is mandatory for Electrician, Fitter, and MMV trades. The age limit for male applicants is set between 14 to 40 years. For female applicants, the minimum age is 14 years with no upper age limit.




The training is completely free of charge. All trainees will be provided with free bus passes. Female trainees will receive Rs.1000 monthly stipend under the Pudhumaipenn scheme, while male trainees will receive Rs.1000 monthly stipend under the Tamilputhalvan scheme. Additionally, an attendance-based educational assistance of Rs.750 will be provided.




Free NIMI textbooks, uniforms, footwear, drawing instruments, and bicycles will be provided. All trainees who complete their training at the institute will be provided employment opportunities through campus interviews at leading companies.




District Collector Pawan Kumar Giriyappanar has stated that depending on availability, food and hostel accommodation will be provided free of cost to trainees. For further details, contact the Government Industrial Training Institute at Anaikkatti.
