The Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express will operate on a diverted route via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani on September 22, 24 and 26 due to sleeper renewal and track maintenance works between Murthipalayam and Karur. The train will skip 16 scheduled stoppages, with alternative halts provided at six stations.
Due to sleeper renewal and track maintenance works being carried out between Murthipalayam and Karur railway stations, the Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express will operate on a diverted route on September 22, 24 and 26, 2026, according to Southern Railway.
Accordingly, Train No. 16322 Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express, scheduled to depart from Coimbatore Junction at 8 a.m., will operate on a diverted route between Coimbatore and Dindigul on the specified dates.
The train will run via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani instead of its regular route.
As a result of the route diversion, the train will skip stoppages at Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Irugur, Sulur Road, Somanur, Tiruppur, Uttukuli, Ingur, Erode, Pasur, Kodumudi, Pugalur, Karur, Palaiyam and Eriodu railway stations.
However, alternative stoppages will be provided at Podanur, Kinattukkadavu, Pollachi, Udumalaippettai, Palani and Oddanchatram railway stations.
