Sri Ramakrishna Central School Inaugurates Skill Lab and Podcast Studio

Sri Ramakrishna Central School, Coimbatore inaugurated its new Skill Lab and Vox Wave Podcast Studio on 27 June 2026. The event was graced by scientist Dr. M. Chrisphin Karthick and educator G. Kannabiran. Robots welcomed dignitaries while students showcased innovative projects and conducted live podcasts.


Coimbatore: Sri Ramakrishna Central School (SRCS), Coimbatore, marked a significant milestone in educational innovation with the inauguration of its new Skill Lab and Vox Wave Podcast Studio on 27 June 2026. The grand ceremony held on campus witnessed the convergence of education, technology, and innovation.






The programme was presided over by Dr. Sundar Ramakrishnan along with Joint Managing Trustee S. Narendran. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. M. Chrisphin Karthick, Scientist at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru, and Guest of Honour G. Kannabiran, educator and renowned science communicator.






The event was also honoured by the presence of C.V. Ramkumar, Chief Executive Officer; D. Mahesh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer of SNR Trust; Dr. J. Jayanthi, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Central School; and the matric principals of Sri Ramakrishna Schools.






The Skill Lab inauguration commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, setting an auspicious tone for the occasion. Students then presented demonstrations showcasing their innovative projects, highlighting the practical applications of the new facility. The inauguration featured a unique technological touch with welcome robots named Rocky and Tera, which received and guided the dignitaries throughout the entire program, demonstrating the school's commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology in education.




The Vox Wave Podcast Studio was formally launched with a live student-led podcast featuring the distinguished guests. This interactive session allowed students to directly engage with the dignitaries, demonstrating the studio's potential as a platform for creative expression and communication. The event also included the release of the VVM poster and inspiring addresses on science and innovation from the guests.




A key highlight of the programme was the felicitation of Grade 10 toppers with scholarship concession certificates, recognising their academic excellence and encouraging continued pursuit of knowledge. The dignitaries encouraged students to pursue curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking as essential tools for future success.




The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a significant milestone in SRCS's commitment to providing holistic and future-ready education that prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
