Karpagam Academy Welcomes Freshers with THULIR 2026

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education inaugurated THULIR 2026, its induction programme for first-year B.Sc. and BCA students. Industry expert Aishwariya Nandagopal urged students to embrace innovation, digital skills and lifelong learning during the inaugural session.

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University) inaugurated THULIR 2026, the induction programme for first-year B.Sc. and BCA (Computer Science Streams) students, at the Sekkizhar Auditorium on July 2. The programme marked the beginning of the academic journey for the newly admitted students under the theme, *"A New Beginning Towards Knowledge, Growth and Excellence."*



The event commenced with an invocation, followed by the welcome address by Dr V. Ragavi, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management. She welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, parents and students, and highlighted the institution's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, ethical values and holistic student development.

The inaugural function was presided over by Dr R. Vasanthakumar, President of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education. Welcoming the freshers to the Karpagam family, he encouraged them to pursue knowledge with discipline, perseverance and curiosity. Quoting the Thirukkural, he stressed that education should shape responsible citizens with integrity, compassion and a commitment to serving society, rather than merely producing graduates.



The chief guest, Aishwariya Nandagopal, Senior Director, Business Solution Lead – Data and Analytics Practice, LTM, Coimbatore, delivered the keynote address. Drawing from her professional experience, she spoke about the rapidly evolving technology landscape and highlighted the importance of innovation, digital literacy, adaptability and continuous upskilling. She encouraged students to develop analytical thinking, embrace challenges confidently and remain lifelong learners in an increasingly competitive world.

The programme was also attended by K. Murugaiah, Chief Executive Officer of Karpagam Educational Institutions, and Dr S. Ravi, Vice-Chancellor of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education. Addressing the students, the Vice-Chancellor outlined the university's learner-centric approach, modern infrastructure, research ecosystem and focus on quality education. He urged students to make full use of the academic, research and co-curricular opportunities available on campus.

The induction programme concluded with an inspiring message to the freshers, encouraging them to embark on their higher education journey with confidence, commitment and a passion for excellence.
