Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kaata Ravi Teja IAS conducted a field inspection of the overhead water tank located in Koundampalayam area, Ward No. 33 of the West Zone. He carried out a detailed review regarding the regular distribution of drinking water to the public through this water tank facility.
Deputy City Engineer Ezhil (Civil), Assistant Engineer Rajesh Venugopal, and other Corporation officials accompanied him during the inspection. The Commissioner enquired about the water supply system and maintenance of the water tank from the officials.
Subsequently, Corporation Commissioner Kaata Ravi Teja IAS visited Nallampalayam, Balaji Layout area under Ward No. 31 of the Central Zone. He personally inspected the drainage canal stretching from Maniyakarampalayam Road to Puliyamaram.
Town Planning Officer Damodharan, Assistant Executive Engineer Saravanakumar (Civil), Councillor Vairamurgan, Assistant Engineer Kumaresan, Sanitary Inspector Jeganathan, and Corporation officials were present during this inspection. The Commissioner gathered details about canal maintenance and cleaning operations.
Recognizing that drinking water supply and drainage maintenance are basic necessities of citizens, the Corporation Commissioner has been conducting such inspections regularly.
